PINOT GRIS
Year 2003
Alcohol: 12,45%
Medium strong straw-like yellow with a shade of red, which is likely to pass unnoticed to an inattentive eye. To one's nose it comes as a clear,
emphsasised and fairly open bouquet which is by far a sign of a long resting on the lees. One can also notice fruity tones, a little bit of bread,
hazel nuts and pine tree needles. In one's mouth the aroma from the nose is completed with a vanilla tone. The wine is dry, with medium body and
balanced, with a medium long and consistent aftertaste, a little bit more elegants than chardonnay.
The Pinot Gris from the Ipavec Family, year 2003 is in good shape, it can be drunk now as well as in two years' time. It would go perfectly with a
little richer cold hors d'oeuvre or simpler, less rich main dish.

CHARDONNAY
Year 2003
Alcohol: 12,67%
Medium strong straw-like yellow which is a little bit stronger in comparison with Pinot Gris. The same as in the case of Pinot Gris there is a
nice character coming to the nose which speaks of a longer resting on the lees. In addition to the above scents one can also find a scent of
coffee, hazel nuts, mead, sour cherry bonbons and pine tree needles. In the mouth the wine is characterized as dry, stronger, fruity character is
replaced with a structure. It has lower acidity and longer aftertaste.
The intensity of the fruity character in the mouth and the structure of the wine are becoming for immediate drinking. However, the wine can also
be left to mature for the following two or three years. It will go well with a medium spiced richer main dish.

MERLOT
Year 2003
Alcohol: 13,90%
WINE OF THE YEAR 2004 TO THE TASTE OF THE READERS OF THE DAILY NEWSPAPER FINANCE
Ruby red with lighter pomegranate shades and to some extent not transperent. It has a medium strong bouquet of a red and deep red fruits, those
could be cherries as well as plums with some spices and herbs in the background. The wine has its essence in the fruitiness and not in the scent
of fresh wood.
Such sort of merlot offers the uttermost enjoyment in the mouth where it is dry, mature with medium to lower tannic acids which are thoroughly
mature and soft. Even though it is a little bit less specific it functions warmly, fills the mouth and occupies the senses. The wine has a medium
long and appealing aftertaste.
That is an example of merlot made of ripe grapes which is stronger in the body as in its exquisiteness. Although it can be drunk immediately,
it will get much better in a year or two, after that time it could still be kept even for a year or two longer. It goes well with main meaty
dishes, better with red than with white meat.
